News & Notes

So, I've been a bit lax in communication recently, mostly because our household has spent the last month enduring THE PLAGUE.

Okay, it was just a bad cold but it got every one of us and took quite a while to get over so we've just been focused on that. But now health has returned and it's time to rejoin the world!

I have some fun special projects that I can finally reveal for you. The first is a design for the Crafty Grimalkin shop - they wanted a version of the "Seasons of the Heart" series to celebrate all things Maine. So I got to learn some about the amazing flora and fauna of their lovely state.

The chart won't be available for general release until next year, but until then you can get a copy directly from the Crafty Grimalkin shop. And the shop is sending a portion of each sale to a local charity to benefit companion animals of the elderly in Maine.

Then just last weekend I was privileged to join a wonderful group of stitchers at Barefoot Needleart in South Carolina. After leaving 25 degree temperatures in Nevada it was a real treat to put my toes in the ocean and watch the waves, then head off for some stitching at a lovely shop.

They had requested a piece in the "muffin" style, so I designed Sandy Shore for them, inspired by their local coast wildlife. And the model features a beautiful fabric from Barefoot Needleart.

This will also be released next year, but until then you can purchase it directly from Barefoot Needleart. I believe they're collecting preorders right now but you can contact them directly to be sure.

For those of you who wait for PDFs, the spring releases are now up on the website so you can pick those up at your leisure.

Take me to the PDFs!

I have two more in-person events this year - Acorns and Threads in September and The Silver Needle in October. If you'll be attending one of those I look forward to seeing you there! And if not, I look forward to connecting with you on Flosstube, where I am really just the warmup act for watching our dogs relax.

Happy Stitching!

Jeannine
