Coneflower Chorus

This was my first time working with the Valdani 6-strand embroidery floss and I love the way it shows off the subtle variegation in the birds and flowers.  The design features several colors of coneflower, along with several songbirds who enjoy them.  Stitch count is 74 wide x 222 high and the model is stitched with one strand of thread over two strands of linen.  

The model is stitched on 40 count "Beanstalk" linen from Fiber On A Whim.  This is a lovely blue/green fabric that evokes a summer sky and the closest DMC equivalent is 3813 or 503.  The model is trimmed with "Ogden Grass" chenille from Lady Dot Creates.
