The Gentle Rain

With this design I wanted to capture the wonderful feeling of soft spring rain.  Living in the desert I particularly miss the rain, but I've always loved clouds and fog and drizzle.  So here I have some spring flowers and trees, along with a variety of wildlife.  The central feature is an enormous birdbath where ducks and ducklings, a swan and some cygnets are enjoying a splash.  The model is stitched on 40 count "Bittersweet" linen from Lakeside Linens.  Stitch count is 205 wide x 162 high.  The chart calls for a both DMC and overdyed threads (and includes a full conversion to DMC).
