Tudor Fox

This addition to the Tudor Menagerie series was inspired by medieval illuminated manuscripts.  This features a red fox and a surround of bleeding heart flowers.  Stitch count is 71 wide x 98 high and the model is stitched with one strand of thread over two strands of linen. 

The model is stitched on 40 count "Sewing Box Medium-Light" linen from Mason Linen.  This is a lovely neutral fabric and the closest DMC equivalent is 738 or 422.  

The model is backed with "Mushroom" velveteen and trimmed with "Algae" chenille, both from Lady Dot Creates.

Specialty Stitches - Straight Stitches and French knots.
